This really was appreciated since it's a little bit of a maze the first time and sometimes GPS is lacking. She arranged having a birthday cake for my brother in law. We where able to celebrate upon arrival. He was SO surprised. The house was prefect and extremely clean. We did request to have our kids come as well which was not a problem as long as we got prior approval. We able to bring my special needs daughter gait trainer to use on the long/wide deck. She LOVED it. This was the first time she was able to fully explore and enjoy the beautiful outdoor space. The hot tub is was clean and very nice after a long day or even in the morning before we took off to daily adventure. Hot Springs Village is one of kind. We loved all the lakes. We spent the day at lake Balboa which has a nice sandy beach and shade coverage. The entire family was very impressed with everything. The kitchen I must give it a call out. WOW. As a guest staying at HSV, you can choose to play from any of hsv's 8 championship golf courses or visit any of our 11 lakes, 2 beaches and 2 marinas with recreational activities such as fishing, swimming and boating. You may also hike or bike on over 26 miles of wooded trails. House and private boat dock are on the beautiful lake Cortez. Lake Cortez is the 3rd largest lake in the villages. It is 245 acres and has a boat ramp. You can fish, swim, ski and tube in the lake. This lake is a very clear water lake which makes it really great for swimming and just relaxing in the water. It is also peaceful and calm since it is mainly used by only people living on the lake. This is a great lake for water skiing - with the mountains surrounding the lake breaking the winds and hardly any other boats - there are a lot of days with very smooth water for some great water skiing. You are usually the only boat around and feel like you are boating in your own wonderful private lake. Even on holiday weekends, you will only see a few boats during the day. It is a stocked lake with no public access -makes it great for fishing too. And our cove is deep, so fishing is even good off the dock. The lake so clear, you can sometimes see the big fish swimming by our dock. We have even been able to see the big fish from the windows in the arkansas room. Lake is stocked with catfish, bass, crappie, gill and sunfish. We have made arrangements so that our guests may reserve a pontoon boat to be parked at our boat dock during their stay. It is a great rate too - $125/day + gas, 3 day minimum. The cost for 3 days is barely over the price of renting at marina for just 1 day. And the best part is it will be parked and waiting at the boat dock right outside your back door. If you want to have the boat longer for even more fishing, more tubing or just want to have a leisurely boat trip each morning and evening - we have an even better deal - 6 days for $600 + gas. This also helps so you won't have to try to predict the best weather days for your boat rental. We also have a tandem or 2 person kayak provided to our guests during warmer months to explore and have fun on lake cortez. We have 4 tv's each with a DVR. House has the new dish hopper dvrs that come with some new great dvr features. The dish hopper automatically saves all recent prime time shows and if you choose to watch the prime time show after the day the show aired, you can choose to skip commercials. We subscribe to dish package 'america's top 200 w/ hd' which includes the golf channel. We also provide 2 dvd players, dvd movies, a blue ray player, and some blue ray movies, tons of board games for your entertainment. We are centrally located between the east and west gates of hot springs village, providing easy access to most hsv destinations including all golf courses, beaches and restaurants. House is in a very easy access location with noticeable landmarks enroute to help you not get lost. We are just off of cortez rd, which is a major hsv street. Please look at our map below to see our location within hsv. If this is your first time to visit our wonderful hot springs villages or just need activity or restaurant ideas, our house is stocked with area information and brochures for our guests. We also created 'things to do' and 'favorite restaurants' sheets to help our guests know what has been popular. If you love the outdoors, this area provides ample opportunities of new and different activities, and with a backdrop of those beautiful ouachita mountains. Anyone who loves outdoors activities will feel at home and probably fall in love with the area. Lake ouachita marina and ouachita mountain state park in the ouachita national forest boasts many outdoor activities. Lake ouachita is the largest lake in arkansas. The beautiful clear waters are ideal for swimming, water skiing, tubing, fishing and cruising along the myriad of islands and coves. The lake is known for having large fish and hosts numerous bass tournaments annually and also produces lots of stripers, crappie, blue gill, red-ear, catfish and walleye. The ouachita mountains are known for their scenic drives and atv trails for all skill levels, rugged mountain trails for mountain biking and hiking, scenic bluffs for hang gliding and paragliding, pristine rivers lakes and creeks for canoeing and kayaking, and rocky cliffs for rock climbing and rappelling and sailing. Then there is also little rock and its sightseeing and shopping about 1 hour away. House details: Entry or main level (top level) includes 2 living areas (main living area and Arkansas room), kitchen, wet bar, laundry room with office, and master bedroom/bath with a garden tub and separate shower. At the top of the stairs is the 1/2 bath. At the bottom of the stairs is a full bath with tub/shower combo. Also downstairs are 4 other bedrooms and smaller kitchen area with 1 of the bedrooms possibly being another living area with futon couch. Bedrooms: the master bedroom is entry or top level. Also entry/top level is queen sleeper sofa in Arkansas (Sun) room. There are 4 more separate sleeping rooms downstairs - the Murphy bedroom (Queen size bed), Th Red bedroom (Queen size bed), a bunk room (Twin over full bed that sleeps three comfortably), and downstairs living area that has a Futon (the futon can convert to a full sized bed). The futon room is a den that can be used as a bedroom (separate room with doors and closet), but entrance to the red bedroom is through this room. The red bedroom exits through futon room or through its outside door. The futon/Murphy rooms when open combine to form open area downstairs. The Murphy bedroom has the patio door to back of house. Doors can close for privacy in all 4 downstairs rooms. There is room for air bed in master bedroom or Murphy bedroom or living room upstairs if need be.

In the summer you could see fireflies at night and deer frequent the golf fairways during the evening hours. Many days you can hear and see canadian geese fying overhead. It's nature at it's best. We are located close to the east gate entrance to the village and close to restaurants, and lakes. We cater to weekend golfing couples or couples just wanting to get away for a romantic weekend. Only one bedroom so 2 is the maximum occupancy. There is no inside smoking, no pets and no children. The double French entrance doors give a view out to the private patio and the woods beyond. The bird feeders on the edge of the woods provide hours of entertainment for bird lovers. Blinds between the glass ensure privacy inside when needed. On the patio outside the French door entrance to La Cabaña you will find chairs, a table for two, a charcoal grill, a wood firepit, and a beautiful, elevated view of the forest on one side and tee to green view of Ponce de Leon golf course #5 Par 4. The best part is that from your private patio there are no other houses in sight, and the cart path is down the hill, on the other side of the fairway. La Cabaña is centrally located to all nine Hot Springs Village golf courses and amenities, including being only 2 miles from beautiful Lake Balboa Beach and Marina. Included are beach chairs for your use if requested. The historic Spa City of Hot Springs, Oaklawn Racing and Casino, and Hot Springs National Park are only a 20 minute drive from La Cabaña. If you are a tennis player (we are), Hot Springs Village has the USPTA Coronado Tennis Center with 10 clay courts and 3 hard surface courts. Nearby Lake Ouachita is the largest and cleanest lake in Arkansas and famous for trophy stripers. Bring your fishing gear (or borrow ours) and your golf clubs! Bicyclists and hikers will enjoy the beautiful network of trails in the Village and all of Arkansas. The bathroom is large, with a comfort height toilet, porcelain top vanity with drawers, and a modular, acrylic shower stall with soap and shampoo dispenser, and an electric forced air wall heater. All guests must be minimum 21 years of age. If you are a first time guest of La Cabaña we ask that you plan to arrive before 10 PM if possible. We like to greet our new guests and show them into La Cabaña to make sure that you are comfortable and have everything you need. If you would like some groceries and/or beverage items to be in La Cabaña ready for your arrival after a long day on the road or in the air, we offer this service for no charge other than the cost of the items. We will leave a receipt for you in La Cabaña. Just let us know a couple of days in advance of your arrival. Coffee, tea, and basic condiments will always be in La Cabaña for your arrival.
